What are the biggest challenges for you/us as we head into 2007?

Convincing management to trust employees to do what is right.
Helping people see that ROI is bunk in a world where intangibles are paramount.
Maintaining perspective amid a deluge of information and change.

What are your predictions for 2007?

Learning professionals will discover the importance of tags.
Training, knowledge management, and communications will converge.
The U.S. will retreat from Iraq, declaring that “We won.”

My prediction for 2007 :
Executives will start to read the cluetrain manifesto (oh, in fact it’s not a prediction, it’s a wish).

To help with challenge #2: Even a few years back, the S&P 500 was based on 84 percent intangible assets. Maybe that will get the attention of the bean counters – business today is almost ALL intangibles.
