He writes about his learning about operating systems, and about the idea of a 'user interface' in general. Perhaps young people expect a 'user interface' to culture now instead of building it? Von einem Bildschirm abzulesen ist schlicht und einfach nicht sensuell; das künstliche Licht des Bildschirms empfängt das Auge anders als eine Buchseite unter natürlichem Licht. Item. Wenn ich dann aber auf Linklisten wie diejenige von Jay Cross stosse, dann lasse ich sämtliche Vorbehalte gegen die digitale Bücherei links liegen und stöbere gerne ausgedehnt in seiner Auflistung bester “learning books”. Sämtliche seiner Linktipps führen zu Büchern, die man voll und ganz online lesen kann. Trotz meiner Zweifel, inwiefern es Spass machen kann, ein Buch am Bildschirm zu lesen, hat mich die Seite nicht losgelassen.
