The Informal Learning blog (informl.com) is down and may be so for some time. I do not understand what’s going on at all. My ISP wrote me:
Unfortunately, I’ve had to disable the index.php file on your domain
“informl.com” as it was causing the server you’re on to crash. I’m not
sure what it’s doing, however it was eating cpu at a fairly alarming
rate. Please do not re-enable that file without ensuring the script won’t
cause problems again.
I responded:
I have no idea what the index.php does. Will this disable any of the site’s functionality?
…and received this in return:
Hello,
The whole site, actually, so your domain is basically down. I’m not sure
what it was doing, but it was eating up a LOT of cpu.
…and I emailed:
Brian, I don’t know what was going on either, but aren’t you guys in a better position to find out? I haven’t made any changes, aside from blog posts, in weeks.
