It’s always something

Pages on my sites link to a contact form. Email from it is supposed to go right to the top of the heap, bypassing the Spam filters.

A friend called today. Why hadn’t I responded to his email? I adopted my Sherlock Holmes persona and began looking into the dark recesses of my site. A mere 45 minutes later, I discovered that my ISP had changed the way it processes the formmail script. Emails from the form were being sent to that big bit bucket in the sky. (If you have tried to reach me via my Contact link recently, please try one more time.)

Being a Mac person now, I know it’s dangerous to criticize the brand and its reputation for flawlessness. However, this latest episode drove me to it. My MacBook froze. This little goodie appeared on screen:

It’s true that Macs aren’t flawless, but don’t you think that screen looks so much nicer than the BSOD? :-)

Good point, Barry. And black is so much more appropriate in this case than blue.
