George Siemens has posted an interview with me at elearnspace. Thanks, George.
Read the interview which was really interesting. I am involved in a European project to set up a Virtual Learning Community across remote areas of northern Scotland, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden - Community Learning Networks on the Edge. One of the challenges identified in a previous project was the lack of communication between people involved in distance learning - and this is an attempt to create a forum to allow discussion and debate (between learning centre staff, technicians, module developers, guidance etc.)- and links to useful sites etc. We are also creating two modules, one of which is postgraduate level and will cover aspects of global elearning - using multi-media approach - part of them will be run through our VLC. The VLC has been built by the Finns with help from our technical experts here in Scotland, and we are launching it at the end of November.
Another aspect of the project is to attempt to webstream lectures from experts in the field of distance learning across the partner countries - from anywhere in the world.
I would love to have you give a lecture to some of our participants in learning centres across the Northern Periphery.... Any chance??
All the best from the remote West Highlands of Scotland...!

I abhor lecture. Too one-way. As if one side has the knowledge and is going to pour it into the other's head.
If we can capture some back-and-forth discussion, well, that's something I could be up for.
