What do you know about the demise of Avaltus? What will happen to the Jupiter technology?

My understanding is that Jupiter will be mothballed. Perhaps someone will come out with a reverse-engineered, liability-free clone. That's about all I can say on the matter.

I've been researching LCMSs and Jupiter looked promising. Were Avaltus bought out? Was Jupiter not delivering on its promise (what liabilities)? Does you know of any way to contact those that were running the Avaltus?
