Nothing like a trip to a new land to recharge the batteries!
One of my favorite spots. If you get the time, rent a car and drive to the village of Mougins, in the hills north of Cannes. Not only is it a very picturesque old hilltop village, it's home to le Moulin de Mougins, Roger Vergé's famous gastronomique restaurant set in a 16th century olive mill. Mougins is en route to Grasse where most of the flowers are grown for the French perfume industry, but that may be too much to do in a day.

Thanks for the advice. My wife and I passed through Mougins many (25?) years ago. Paupers, we stayed at a wonderful little spot, the Mas Candil, ate too much, and had a wonderful time.
To everything there is a cycle.
Here I am, once again near Moulin a Mougin, but due to the tech downturn and elearning implosion, with too little cash in the bank for justify the experience.
C'est la vie.
