Karin Albert
Karin Albert has been involved in innovative, pragmatic approaches to
learning, human performance improvement, organizational development, and
technology solutions for more than twenty years. She currently heads
design and development of eLearning and ePerformance at Granite
Construction, Inc., one of Fortune Magazine's "100 Best Companies to
Work For." At Granite, she has been a key player in the design and
implementation of Granite's Employee Development Initiative (EDI) - a
groundbreaking program designed to make teaching and learning a
competitive advantage at Granite. Karin is known for her work on the
EDI and also the supporting "Knowledge Quarry" - an innovative
ePerformance solution.
Ms. Albert speaks and writes on the contribution of learning and
development to organizational effectiveness, and the role of technology
in effective learning and development, and has presented at ASTD and
Ecology of Work conferences. As a founding member of the International
Center for Organization Design, Karin has worked with companies
including Esso Petroleum, Frito Lay, Alcoa, Quaker Oats, and Digital
Equipment Corporation. Karin holds a BA in Psychology and an MBA from
the University of California, Berkeley, and is a member of Phi Beta
Kappa.
