The arrival of second-generation portals offers us the ability to integrate information, learning, expertise, tools and applications around a work context to truly deliver on-demand learning to the performer. This ushers in the possibility to design human-, learning-, technical- and performance-support at the business process layer. Explore the emergence of second-generation portals and challenge the conventional wisdom about how we view learning in the workplace. Initial models for “learning in context” will be provided along with some proof-of-concept demonstrations. |
